Times are UTC and are indicative; official release times occasionally shift. Your MetaTrader 5 terminal carries a live calendar under View → Toolbox → Calendar, tied to your server clock, and that is the one to trade from.

How to use it

Three rules that cost nothing

Check it before the session

Two minutes at the start of the day tells you which hours are dangerous. Checking after a spike tells you nothing you can act on.

Assume the spread multiplies

A stop closer than the widened spread will be taken by the spread alone, and that is a legitimate fill. Distance is the only defence.

Flat, smaller, or later

Stand aside, cut size and widen the stop, or wait for the first fifteen minutes to resolve. Unchanged and hopeful is not on the list.

Nothing explains a widened spread like seeing it happen with nothing at stake.
